See last night...that was fantastic. I thought it was some of the best New York had to offer I really did. I almost wish it was a two hour special because that much could have been done with it. However they did well with one hour and I'm glad both victims conntected to the other. At first I was thinking that a second case wasn't needed, but the fact that they were connected worked for me.
Edward Furlong was creepy and yet sad. At the end there when Danny shows him that his brother Ian actually shot the bartender you could see the different stages of emotion that Shane went through right to the defeat when he slid down the wall and dropped the gun. That was such a great moment and I'm glad they let Danny run with it. I wish they would have said more about Louie, cause honestly I'm a bit miffed that we still don't know if Louie is alive, dead or still in a coma. More info on that would have been nice, but getting to Danny by talking about a younger brother having to take care of his older brother was a nice touch. I love it when they delve into that man's character.
OOOH and the burn for Peyten...FIRST Mac pushes her hand off his face and THEN he calls her Claire...holy crap...that was...wow...I can imagine Peyten was beyond hurt that was mean. I mean it wasn't a shock for me that in the wake of finding Claire's son that she would be foremost on Mac's mind but my goodness that's a low blow. And uh did anyone think that Peyten looked a lot like the pics of Claire that Mac had? Maybe I was reaching but that week that he went to see Claire's kid (his name escapes me) I thought the pics looked similar. Either way I wonder if they will continue at all with the Peyten storyline or if it'll just die down. Probably the latter.
I wish there could have been a bit more with Hawkes, but I LOVED the scene with Mac barelling into the precinct to talk to Hawkes AND that Flack went to bat for him even though last week he was questioning if he should trust Mac. That whole scene was fantastic I just loved it. The Chief is an ass yet you could tell he wasn't all bad...just probably doesn't really understand the CSI's work and probably is of the 'they aren't real cops' mindset.
Stella's comment to the chief about going after one of her guys was awesome! I loved it 'I will make it my business to have your badge' or something to that affect. Oh wow that was amazing. And we got to have our reactionary Danny back! So good! I just loved him this ep...more than normal...when he confronted the bouncer and then when he talked it out with Mac and Stella and Stella was the one to come at him about how it would effect Hawkes. It just.
Yeah I loved this ep...I'm sorry that this may be the end of the Shane Casey thing...although there was that FBI murder last week that will obviously come back in the new year since I think they are probably going into repeats over the month of December. Fine with me...I hope they are consistent with eps next season too...I look forward to it!
I think I've almost given up on Miami...I just...yeah...H is too much. The over dramatics almost always pains me...can't do it. Vegas is like old faithful...it just makes me all happy to watch it. I'll be sad to see Griss go (whenever that is) and interested to see how that plays out.
I'm done now...gonna go do the work thing. Anyone else have comments?

A Walk Down Memory Lane
As I sit here on this night before Thanksgiving, watching a mini-marathon of CSI: Miami past. One thing that I have discovered on this historic journey is that the whole "let's take a walk on the beach just to show how much of a team we are" isn't something new from this specific season. It's something that has been going on from atleast season 2, possibly even from season 1. It seems like they started using it, either discovered it made no sense or just didn't like it, phased it out and are test driving it again this season.
Also, H seems to have upped his Super Hero-esque ego. The writers need to get him to be more 3 dimensional. I mean I loved that when Marisol was a factor they showed his softer side (though she needed to be save like every third episode), that he had something outside of work. Maybe his character is intended to be this way, to be "All about the job" and the hero of the world.
It just seems like Miami is the wild child of the CSI series. Everything is bigger and more flashy in Miami. I wonder if that's the way they meant it to be or it's just evolved that way...Things that make you go hmmmm....lol...
As a side note, how many hilarious lines is Mac getting this season? He's had more than in the last two seasons combined so far! But more on that tomorrow....

Oh the pain!
Okay I'll say it Carmine Giovinazzo has a beautiful body. It's true. This is a fact so I shall not deny. HOWEVER, he is also an extremely talented actor who is being over shadowed by his beautiful body. This pains me. *sigh*
There was no point for his nakedness this past episode. Now it is a first for him to be seen sans shirt including no beater and like I said pretty sight. It is difficult for me to enjoy this sight, however, when I KNOW that it is just to appease the horny fans. It makes me sad that an obviously talented roster of writers feel the need to strip him for good ratings.
ESPECIALLY when in that scene the focus should have been more on Hawkes. A person is hard pressed to remember when Hawkes is contemplating when his co-workers are stripping do to coffee related mishaps. (How many D/L fans do you think are gonna have him and Lindsay going at it as a reason for the coffee spillage? Not me I can assure you.)
Aside from my combination of enjoying/hating the nekkid I actually kinda liked this episode. I loved the focus on Hawkes. Hill Harper excelled in this ep. Points to the talent of that actor. I wish they'd let Carmine do more of the talent end to his acting...but I'll digress. The tension between Sheldon and the Attending was palatable. I liked it, I felt it, it worked.
The end was quite cheesy with the Baywatch/CSI:Miami walk that they did and I was a bit distracted by the ways to hide Anna's growing belly. The moment between Stella, Mac and the mother who killed her own daughter was amazing. That actress when she was saying 'she tried to tell me'...wow that was amazingly done.
All in all I liked the episode...and will admitedly look for screen caps...I mean come on he's hot!

The stoicism of Mac Taylor
Well I'm convinced of one thing after finally watching "Murder Sings the Blues" Peyten Driscoll definitely is majorly smittin' with Mac Taylor.
Mac on the other hand looks at her like he's wondering why she's touching him. You know I'm all for Mac having a relationship and moving on from Claire but if I'm supposed to believe that they have feelings for each other it would help if Mac didn't look like he was being forced to escort his long lost cousin to the opera. (By the way getting called out of the opera for a case is SO something I wrote in a fic before this...I swear TPTB owe me...lol) He just doesn’t look like he’s into it NEARLY as much as she is. There is no chemistry that I can see. Even though I like both characters I just don’t see them really into it, it’s contrived and devoid of passion. It would make more sense to pair him with Stella and I don’t think I’d want that either. So yeah that’s my take on that.
Then we have Hawkes and his connection to the victim. I am so excited that Hawkes is getting more storyline this season. I'm even willing to give up seeing Danny for it. It seemed a BIT of a far stretch that he met her a few months ago and she still had the post it note that he wrote his number on in her purse. She looked the type to change her purse and it's contents many times a week so I don't get how his number always seemed to be with her, even though she never called it. Point of interest only, still loved seeing more of Hawkes!
I liked that they showed Mac as not always being right. The fact that he tore a strip off Hawkes in front of everyone and wouldn’t let Lindsay leave was poignant and showed that Mac doesn’t always have it together. It was also brilliant how Hawkes dealt with it by calmly making a very good point before leaving the lab. Their moment at the end even if it didn't have a formal apology worked for me. They are professional men probably not big on long drawn out I'm sorrys. They were talking again and understanding each other and that's all that matters.
I find it interesting though that someone who is SO about the evidence would go so hard against that one guy just because he had a criminal record. Isn’t that prejudice? Sort of like guilty in spite of? I mean it shows that Mac isn’t perfect but if he’s gonna fire Aiden for tampering and get Danny off the promotion grid because he went with his gut then it doesn’t seem to ring true to me that Mac should be able to push for a guy who has no evidence against him. And again, second week in a row, Lindsay actually following the evidence is shot down. I’m still wondering at how they are dealing with her character but throw her a bone. Are you gonna get her in trouble for following her instincts AND for following the evidence? Where the heck is she supposed to go then?
Danny wasn't in the ep much so he was pretty but character wise I didn't get much. LoL I do love it when he and Flack get to have those funny dialogue moments and his 'I hate rich people I really do' plus Flack calling him Dan-o made for a really fun interaction which lightened the episode for sure.
Anyway that's my take on last week. I'm still a bit confused as to where they are going this season but I do like the new character development. Now just make Lindsay believable to me! Hell steal how I write her I don't care just give us something! I'm done now...really I am. :)

A friend of mine came up with that one. Made me laugh really hard and I promised him I would insert it into our vocabulary about Horatio Caine.

Last night - man alive. I thought for sure H would launch off the ground and into the air a la Neo. They even angled the camera in such a way as to leave room for his invisible cape.
Was it just me or is Frank even starting to sense the ridiculousness that is Horatio? He kept giving him these perplexed looks like, "Are you really serious, man? And where the f*** do you get off calling me 'Francis'? Only my mother is allowed to call me that!"
I think somebody gonna get a hurt reeeaaal bad.
Also, why is it that apart from Calleigh, all of the CSIs in Miami are whiny, snot-nosed, spoiled-brat babies? Or, why, for the name of all that is collection of forensic evidence, does Boavista ALWAYS look like she's getting her rocks off when she's processing something? It makes me want to punch her in the nose.
And I don't punch just anyone.
Okay, my final complaints are these: If Steve Dunlar called the cops about the 'sideshow' just before he went to the woman's house (presumably with his accomplice, Luke Baylor) at 6:00am and that's approximately when Dex was killed, how is it that Luke was able to be in two places at the same time? They did not explain that very well. Was the sideshow so close to where Dunlar was siphoning the jet fuel that Luke could just pop over that quickly? AND, how come there was so little blood in that car? The guy's rudding head was taken right off, you'd think there'd be so much blood that Luke would be loathe to even be near the thing. But no, there was so little blood that Luke only got a few drops on him, even though he hauled AN ENTIRE HEADLESS BODY out of the car.
Okay. That's all I wanted to say for today. Hopefully CSI:NY will either be so terribly bad or so terribly good (read: lots of Danny angst) that I'll have something clever to say about it too. :)

Laugh Baby Laugh
Ok, so I watched Curse of Coffin last night (I'm getting slightly more timely with these things), and I laughed. I mean out loud, woke my sleeping husband up, laughing. I don't know where to even begin, so I guess I'll just jump right out there and start.
I didn't know that the lab was less than four minutes to the beach. I didn't know that you couldn't call a bomb squad in to diffuse a bomb in that short of time, I mean isn't the precinct right next door to the lab? Mac and Danny managed to diffuse a bomb in NY without any mishap... And, without notifying anyone (He never technically told Tripp where he was going) drive it to the beach, get out, put on your reflective sunglasses of justice, and walk away to let the thing blow up!?!? Does that make any sense? Wouldn't you try to preserve as much evidence as you could? Are these reasonable questions or is it just me?
Ok, guess I've beaten that dead horse enough.
Ok, and why -- if you discovered that they were hiding the gold in the burial plot in the middle of the day -- would you wait until it's completely dark out to go investigate - especially if the case is freaking you out a little?? Does that make any sense whatsofreakin'ever?? Why wouldn't you go right then...I mean? Really...
I have to admit I thought it was interesting to see Delko pulling rank on Wolfe based upon religion. I mean are we to take it to mean that Ryan has no or very little religion affiliation? It's just odd in my book - I thought the rule was never discuss politics or religion with a friend you want to remain a friend...Maybe it's just me...I would like to see this episode a multiepisodal arc to it because of the way they left the ending (we really never do know how she got the mini coffin thingy) but we know that probably isn't going to happen.
I have to say though I liked how Calleigh, Delko, and Ryan talking about the case at the end. I still wish they'd do alittle more character development on this show, I'm scard to see how that would turn out...

I mean honestly what the hell?? Slow motion walking away casually from a vehicle that you KNOW is going to explode. I mean come on Horatio I know it isn't cool for you to run but any sane person...wait...the sunglasses of justice are telling me that H is in fact NOT sane, therefore his slow mo walking makes sense.
This still doesn't explain the slow mo glare with the kid who put the bomb in the car...but I digress. Into...
Are Delco and Wolfe EVER going to be allowed to be men or is Calleigh really going to be the only character with balls on that show. I mean, every damn time H is within two feet of those guys they are lapping up his every word...yipping at him like an overly excited pup. *sigh* Silly boys. I guess I didn't mind the case but really it didn't interest me enough to drown out the groaning of WHAT THE HELL that permeated the rest of the show.

I agree with what Krista and Holly said about how amazing 'Hung Out To Dry' was! I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Not that I like looking at corpses that are nailed to trees or hanging from ceiling fans...but really the arc of the case, the fact that everyone basically worked it...putting Hawkes into the plight...I really did enjoy that whole episode. I wonder if that was becasue they didn't saturate me with their weird ass take on Danny and Lindsay's relationship.
I am TELLING you if they would let Krista and I at that storyline we could really make it work! I mean she could give Lindsay a proper background that suits and I could write their 'romance' WAY more believable than the drival it's been getting. Honestly PTB hook us up, we'll make you sing!

Last week's NY - Flippin' awesome. Finally got some good writing, a SINGLE, interesting case and no needless D/L drama. Very, very good.
So sad they had to follow it up with the weak sauce from last night. Bleh. The Suicide Girls case was, for lack of a better word, meh and the basketball case seemed like a poor man's Crash. Mediocre at best.
Anyway, that's just my take... I shall wait patiently for everyone else's submissions...

Love Run Cold...Very Cold
Alright, I’ve finally watched Love Run Cold, two weeks late I know…I was very apprehensive about watching Danny get stood up and the fact that it was by Lindsay – well let’s just say I was screaming “Let’s stop the insanity!”. However, I am actually glad (breathe…everyone just breathe…) that it happened this way because it causes angst and we all know that angst allows for character development and growth. I don’t like the way date came out of nowhere but at least she admitted that she liked him – a lot – and we are starting to learn a little more about her past…Which is something that I definitely want to know more about…
About the cases - where to start – I thought it was definitely a little choppy…I mean being stabbed with a scepter of vodka? And the runner who was poisoned with carbon monoxide? I thought that the B case was slightly far fetched, but stranger things have happened right?
Hung out to Dry was another good episode, diverting away from ships and back to basics. This episode was purely about the case and nothing more, and boy was it was a bit gruesome. I mean, while it was an excellent use of technologies that are available to television shows, was it really necessary to show the guy with the railroad spikes through the guy’s eye sockets and then have Mac pull the actual eyeballs out of the cup? And the headless chick hanging from the ceiling fan? *shivers* Despite all of goriness, I think this is one of my favorite episodes simply because of the Greek mythology they built into the show. I took 8 years of Latin which incorporated learning all of the myths (both Greek and Roman) and it just made me very happy.
I do have to say that Ed Furlong plays the creepy Shane Casey very, very well. There’s just something about him that makes him seem perfect for the part. The fact that they are making this a multi-episode arc also makes me extremely happy – I love when there is distinctive continuity between episodes.
So far I’m really happy with CSI NY this season. I have to say that I am digging Danny’s hair this season. It makes him look totally sexy…but then again it may just be me…
Well, I think I’ve done enough yakking, off to watch Oedipus Hex…
About the cases - where to start – I thought it was definitely a little choppy…I mean being stabbed with a scepter of vodka? And the runner who was poisoned with carbon monoxide? I thought that the B case was slightly far fetched, but stranger things have happened right?
Hung out to Dry was another good episode, diverting away from ships and back to basics. This episode was purely about the case and nothing more, and boy was it was a bit gruesome. Okay can somebody please explain to me the significance of the entire Miami cast walking down the beach at the end of Monday's episode? Is this where they have office meetings now? Will there be slow motion running moments a la the Hoff and Pam Anderson?? I swear this show just gives me never ending fodder to mock. I hope that's their point cause damn if it isn't the case.

So yeah the new seasons have started. I have to admit that I have only watched the premiere of Miami...the amount of cheese was so much that I missed last week's ep because it took that long to romove the melodrama from my mind. Seriously was it necessary for Horatio to SQUAT DOWN and pose in front of that monument in Brazil. I mean really? *audible sigh*
Anyway Vegas is beyond interesting...I'm just overly thrilled that we get to delve more into Catherine's character. *note the sarcasm* Honestly I just don't care that much about her character to want to delve, yet again, into the over abundance of angst...hell I'd prefer to find out more about the doc...or Nick...or Warrick...oh my Greg...or hell Wendy from DNA...Sara...ANYONE but Catherine...I'm sorry if other people liked it, it just seems like severe overkill to me. Maybe it'll get better over the season and I'm warming to a Griss/Sara pairing...just because I kinda have to. :p

Finally, finally, finally! A development in the Lindsay/Danny saga that I can actually buy. I actually liked the way they had the two of them interact this episode. There was none of the teen-agerish flirting that they were trying to force down my throat last season. Rather, they let Carmine use his facial expressions and body language to their fullest potential. That's more like Danny to me.
I liked that in spite of all that happened (i.e., Danny's consulting Lindsey not to go undercover, doing nothing other than look for her after the room was stormed, holding her and even touching her hair), there was still a certain amount of ambiguity to the whole thing. You really could go one way or the other - they're totally involved with each other or that's just the way Danny is and he would have done the same with Aiden.

I really liked this episode, minus the scene where they are showing Mac tying off a bloodied and battered Flack. I could have done without that scene - however, I absolutely loved the scene where Mac ordered the bomber-guy to shoulder his weapon...It sent shivers down my spine. I could go on and on...I loved the last scene in the hospital when they all showed up to support Flack. It just showed the "family" that they've become. Very Nice.
Being the Danny-Lindsay shipper that I am, I loved the last line between Danny and Lindsay - "So you still want that ride?" How many inappropriate answers are there to that question? lol. That's all I'm gonna say.
CSI:MIAMI
Okay...Well there are a lot of little nit-picky things that I have problems with - but number one is - are we going to have a international CSI? CSI:Brazil?? Or is it going to be the return of Yelina and Ray Caine?
All in all - I thought this season was a bit too dramatic and slightly unrealistic (ok - maybe slightly is generous). Next season should be interesting to say the least.
And alright - here goes...I cannot believe that they made the mole so obvious. I had many arguments with myself about whether or not it was BoaVista (aka The Snake), and it turns out that she was. At the beginning of the season, I thought it was odd that she just showed up out of nowhere with a grant to upgrade the lab and all that jazz. Then she just started showing up at crime scenes, and the house that she can afford...etc; it truly does make sense now. I wonder if she'll still be there next season.
And speaking of rotten people, how about that ADA and the Federal Money guy. How low can you get? Some people...

What an interesting season ender. Who would have thought Grissom and Sara? I've heard the rumors of them "hooking" up, but I never particularly shipped them. Personally I would have preferred Sara with Nick, but that's just my opinion....
I'm glad that Brass is going to live, or atleast that's the way they left it. I can't believe that his daughter's reaction to him laying in the hospital, to check into his death benefits and such. Hopefully they'll expand on this next season.
All in all, I'm glad for a break, as it's been a long season. Sorry I didn't babble (lol) as much as usual -- it's been a long day and I just want to kick up my feet and relax. I can't wait to read everyone else's reactions. :)

too cute for a hard hat!
I have to say, NY went out with a definite bang yesterday (pun intended!). My only complaints were that while searching an unstable, just-bombed building for evidence, apparently Danny thought himself far too good looking to wear a hard hat. He and Mac were also too good looking to bother to wear bomb protection when they first went into the library for the second bomb.
Seriously, I know these men are gorgeous, but is it really that humiliating to them to protect themselves with hard hats and bomb armour? LOL

Stealing Home
Wow. What an episode (and I'm being timely!! LOL)!! Where to start....I loved the beginning. The interaction between Mac, Stella and Lindsay was interesting...but I loved the part about where Danny said the view is better than looking at a wheat field and she asks him if he's ever seen a wheat field. "What's to see? It's wheat." Classic.
Sid...Wow. We learned a little too much about Sid tonight - didn't exactly need to know that he's had a threesome before. But it was worth it to see the look on Hawkes face - totally priceless.
I also had to laugh because of what Sid to Lindsay...Glad to see that it's becoming obvious to others in the lab....
Lindsay "Think Danny calls me Montana because I'm a 49ers Fan?"
Sid "No, he calls you that because he's got a crush on you."
It's was also nice to see that Stella isn't completely over what happened last week. She pauses when they first examine the body and there was the small mark by her eye. Helped with the continuity, but I wished that they would mention something about Louie in passing or otherwise, but I digress. And the nod to last week's episode with Laura's story about her killing her ex-boyfriend was an interesting touch.
I also noticed that the actress who played Sara (the mermaid) looked very similar to Lindsay. I wonder if that was intentionally or if it was just me. You could definitely see that she identified with her. I wonder if this is going to lead into a cross over to next season delving deeper into her "dark secret". And how sweet was Danny during this case? Definitely matured, if it wasn't evident in RSRD it definitely is here...and my little heart is all a flutter....lol.
How great was it to see Lindsay take the lead on this case? She was totally take charge and makes me feel like she's officially a part of the team...does that make sense? It's like she's not on probation anymore. You could see that she was definitely affected by this case...It was also good to see Mac come to her to make sure that she was handling things ok. The ending was a little dark with her going to see Sara's murderer...but it leaves a possible story arc for next season...
Now the whole threesome case...When he and Hawkes were going over the house that the trinogamos couple lived in was too funny - Hawkes and his robospanker. I had tears...but that could be just because I'm overtired.
Mac...he was hot in this episode. The whole "Get the hell out of my building." was just smoking. He was all just tough...
There wasn't enough Flack though!!! What was our tough NYC Detective doing? I definitely missed him this episode and there was a definite difference in the feel of the episode without him around as much.
And then the preview...wow...It looks like they are finally putting the debate about whether Aiden will be rejoining the show to rest...You have to feel bad for everyone because they were really close to her, but from the preview I think Danny is going to take it harder than everyone else seeing as how they were "partners". You kinda have to feel bad for the guy, first his brother and now his former partner...I wonder if it'll be Lindsay he turns to for comfort....
Ok - I think I hit everything that I like about the episode...Can't wait to see what everyone else thinks!

Ok - Sorry about these being so late - I hate when life is so hectic! This is probably going to be totally long and I apologize. I promise to be more timely in the future.

Run Silent Run Deep
I loved, absolutely loved this episode. There are so many different things that I could say about this episode, probably too many to name here - so I'll try to limit it to the best points. Honestly think it was the best episode of the season, but maybe that's because I'm a little biased. Lol I loved how they brought Tanglewood back into the picture, such a simple, unsuspecting way. . It definitely gave Danny's character more depth and showcased Carmine's infinite acting abilities. Did anyone else think that Sonny Sasone aged badly? Lol. Flack - he was also wonderful during this episode and you learned that he really does have more to him than just his snarky, sarcastic self, especially after makes the comment to Flack about staying with Danny and Flack is like "Don't worry, we're not going anywhere."
I agree totally with Dream about the whole underwear comment - too funny - and about the whole Danny/Lindsay dynamic -- I would think that they've got to be building to something or maybe they're just teasing us, just to see us shippers sweat. I also liked the Mac/Danny interaction because it shows, as Dream said, how much the characters have evolved and matured. It's always good to see character growth.
I loved the flashback scene. It really did add a lot to the backstory, as well as being funny to watch. It also made Sonny's comment at the end of Tanglewood make more sense.
All Access
This episode...wow. Honestly, that's all I could think when I saw the preview, then watching the episode...wow. There are so many things...You would never think of Stella as being someone with weakness, yet in this episode she was and it was refreshing. Despite how we all make fun of her..um..gills, I've (personally) never been one to see her with a real weakness. We've seen her get frustrated when she can't solve a case but she's always been "strong". Does that make sense? And while, granted being beaten and nearly killed isn't necessarily a way I would want to have happen to anyone, it's nice to see that each character has their quirks and flaws. I really hope that makes sense to everyone.
Did anyone else think that Frankie was going to turn out to be a friggin' psychopathic freak?!? Oh my word...Wow. He like flipped a switch - did he go off his meds? It was just bizarre...and frightening...Maybe because there's a realistic factor that it could happen to anyone........
I also, like Dream, cringed when I saw that another music star was being showcased on the show. I did not, absolutely did not like Travis Barker on CSI: Vegas, but I'll get into that more later. But I was pleasantly surprised with Kid Rock's performance and subsequent acting. There were times however, that I found it hard to follow the case involving him got lost in the shuffle amongst Stella's case. But maybe that was just me and I wasn't paying close enough attention.
Again, I have to agree with Dream that the scene with Stella cutting her fingers with the razor was a bit gruesome to say the least, but I feel that the scenes with Flack made up for that. Who knew that Flack could be that caring and sensitive? I mean yeah, he was with Danny to a point too, but he wasn't just being a dectective when he was talking to Stella, he was being a true friend. I'm not sure that in real life they would have let him question her given their friendship, but I'm going along with the theory that he told them she would talk more freely to him than anyone else...so there. :-p
Stealing Home
This looks to be another interesting episode...Especially when the woman slaps Mac, I'm wondering what Stella is going to do. The B Case looks like it might be building up to some character development for Lindsay, hopefully since I would like to know more about her other than she's from Montana and she replaced the very much loved Aidan (not that I didn't love her, just that she's gone, and while she's coming back to assist in solving a case, she's not staying).

Personally, while I liked this episode, I wasn't thrilled with it. Maybe because it just didn't...make total sense to me. I understood the premise and everything, it just lacked...depth. Almost as if it was an episode that was thought of last minute to fill a slot, but again maybe it's just me.
I do agree with Dream (I know I know again!) that Travis Barker can not act to save oxygen. The scenes with him had me wondering if I would have a less painful time watching the grass grow.
I just didn't care for this episode as much as others...

I thought that this episode was kinda funny. There were just so many coincidences that occured -- it was refreshing to see a slightly comical aspect brought into an episode.

Dream said it best...What is going on with Miami? (I'm sorry if I'm repeating some things) Is it turning into an primetime soap opera? Can we say confusing?? Where did the case go? I blinked and it was solved. Why is it that this show seems to have all of the dysfunctional relationships? I mean, Natalia calls for a break between her and Delko, then Ryan goes after her, but she's mad at Delko? Isn't there a code or something between guys that states no dating the ex? Just seems weird to me. Personally I don't like Natalia...she just seemed to come out of nowhere and just fills in gaps in the story arcs. And what is up with Ryan asking Delko for the money to fund his date? I really couldn't believe that when I read it in Dream's review, I honestly have to say that I didn't believe it, thinking that maybe she missed something earlier in the episode. However I watched it and there was nothing, just Ryan with some lame excuse about leaving his money at home...what is up with that??? Ever heard of an atm? Or using your debit/credit/check card at the restaurant??? Come on -- where is the realism?
Marisol and H...Where to begin - I've said it in another post - she is the healthiest looking cancer patient that I have ever seen. And (I'm sorry I'm not sure who said it) H does seem to have a hero/save the victim/fix the problem/make everything sunshine-y complex going on. But again, everyone has a quirk, they just all seem to land in Miami...wonder if there's something in the water.

Run Silent Run Deep
I loved, absolutely loved this episode. There are so many different things that I could say about this episode, probably too many to name here - so I'll try to limit it to the best points. Honestly think it was the best episode of the season, but maybe that's because I'm a little biased. Lol I loved how they brought Tanglewood back into the picture, such a simple, unsuspecting way. . It definitely gave Danny's character more depth and showcased Carmine's infinite acting abilities. Did anyone else think that Sonny Sasone aged badly? Lol. Flack - he was also wonderful during this episode and you learned that he really does have more to him than just his snarky, sarcastic self, especially after makes the comment to Flack about staying with Danny and Flack is like "Don't worry, we're not going anywhere."
I agree totally with Dream about the whole underwear comment - too funny - and about the whole Danny/Lindsay dynamic -- I would think that they've got to be building to something or maybe they're just teasing us, just to see us shippers sweat. I also liked the Mac/Danny interaction because it shows, as Dream said, how much the characters have evolved and matured. It's always good to see character growth.
I loved the flashback scene. It really did add a lot to the backstory, as well as being funny to watch. It also made Sonny's comment at the end of Tanglewood make more sense.

This episode...wow. Honestly, that's all I could think when I saw the preview, then watching the episode...wow. There are so many things...You would never think of Stella as being someone with weakness, yet in this episode she was and it was refreshing. Despite how we all make fun of her..um..gills, I've (personally) never been one to see her with a real weakness. We've seen her get frustrated when she can't solve a case but she's always been "strong". Does that make sense? And while, granted being beaten and nearly killed isn't necessarily a way I would want to have happen to anyone, it's nice to see that each character has their quirks and flaws. I really hope that makes sense to everyone.
Did anyone else think that Frankie was going to turn out to be a friggin' psychopathic freak?!? Oh my word...Wow. He like flipped a switch - did he go off his meds? It was just bizarre...and frightening...Maybe because there's a realistic factor that it could happen to anyone........
I also, like Dream, cringed when I saw that another music star was being showcased on the show. I did not, absolutely did not like Travis Barker on CSI: Vegas, but I'll get into that more later. But I was pleasantly surprised with Kid Rock's performance and subsequent acting. There were times however, that I found it hard to follow the case involving him got lost in the shuffle amongst Stella's case. But maybe that was just me and I wasn't paying close enough attention.
Again, I have to agree with Dream that the scene with Stella cutting her fingers with the razor was a bit gruesome to say the least, but I feel that the scenes with Flack made up for that. Who knew that Flack could be that caring and sensitive? I mean yeah, he was with Danny to a point too, but he wasn't just being a dectective when he was talking to Stella, he was being a true friend. I'm not sure that in real life they would have let him question her given their friendship, but I'm going along with the theory that he told them she would talk more freely to him than anyone else...so there. :-p
Stealing Home
This looks to be another interesting episode...Especially when the woman slaps Mac, I'm wondering what Stella is going to do. The B Case looks like it might be building up to some character development for Lindsay, hopefully since I would like to know more about her other than she's from Montana and she replaced the very much loved Aidan (not that I didn't love her, just that she's gone, and while she's coming back to assist in solving a case, she's not staying).

Personally, while I liked this episode, I wasn't thrilled with it. Maybe because it just didn't...make total sense to me. I understood the premise and everything, it just lacked...depth. Almost as if it was an episode that was thought of last minute to fill a slot, but again maybe it's just me.
I do agree with Dream (I know I know again!) that Travis Barker can not act to save oxygen. The scenes with him had me wondering if I would have a less painful time watching the grass grow.
I just didn't care for this episode as much as others...

Kay, Miami last night... I liked the cases - the play on the avian flu panic and the daughter who amplified the sins of the mother were good, solid, engaging cases.
But I still strongly dislike the whole Horatio/Marisol thing.
I don't know exactly what they're building up to with the "Someone's trying to bring down this lab" deal-y, but why they have to involve 'the most beautiful cancer patient in the world' is beyond me. Just so we can see H threaten more people? Man, he gets away with threatening a lot of people in high positions. What is up with that? And no one ever says to him, "Um, excuse me. You can't talk to me like that. I may have you arrested for uttering threats." That's what I would say. Stupid H and his 'sunglasses of justice'. I'm starting to think the only reason H troubles to continue to work in Miami is because the Super Friends weren't accepting applications. LOL

Kristine's 'feminist' rant
Kay, if you haven't read Kristine's review of 'All Access' I'm thinking you should. She makes some really valid points about how CSI doesn't allow their strong female characters to have normal relationships or even normal experiences with men outside of the lab.

Uh, Kid Rock...what??
Again I gotta say that although I enjoyed some of the DL moments in the B case when one of the main characters is in jeapordy having a B case just takes away from the momentum. Now I'll give Kid Rock SOME kudos he did a hell of a better job at 'acting' than Travis Barker did on Vegas, his 'Hi-Def' was just horrendous...stick to drumming Travis...you're at least good at that.
Now for the episode. I absolutely LOVED Flack! I loved how sweet and gentle he was with Stella. How concerned and yet thorough. It was great to see that side of him instead of just the cranky sarcastic guy we usually get. His sweetness showed a bit last week with Danny but it was just amazing this week! He really is coming into his own that character...I wonder if that's a preview to...ehm I shall not inflict my spoilers.
I always love Danny of course. I just can't help it. (I watched RSRD again yesterday I love it when he's talking about the spray on panty hose and does the action! LOL Then when Stella explains he's like 'I love women.' and licks his lips...*sigh*) Anyway back to this episode. I really enjoy the maturity that has shown in his character. It only makes sense that over the course of the last two years he's gonna mature a little bit...I wouldn't think he'd keep his job otherwise...so it was nice to see him calm Lindsay down when she freaked in the interrogation room.
Speaking of Lindsay...can someone explain to me the huge amount of disdain for Lindsay/Anna that I have been noticing?? I mean believe me I get the inconsistancy with her character development (hating the nickname Montana and now loving it...are they sleeping together now? Does he call her that in bed and now she doesn't mind?) I also get the whole annoyance with trying to get people to like her character by thrusting (sorry poisonista I know how much you hate that word...lol) her next Danny in every episode like you are persuading us to like her by pimping her next to the franchises golden boy. But honestly the whole hating on Anna's acting and wanting Lindsay to die a slow and painful death?? Come on now people, it's TV get a friggin' grip. It's funny to me how the haters get annoyed when the supporters take their disdain pesonally, but then they seem to be over analyzing the show more than I do...and that's intense. Would I have liked Aiden to stay? Hell ya! Did I like her dynamic with Danny? Most definitely. But she's gone, she's coming back and will then be gone for good...so ease up on the new girl. Give her some breathing space people...frankly I like her for the most part. Yeah there are some scenes that are insanely wooden that I'd change...but I can't...it's TV...move on. And this is coming from someone who knows the character Danny Messer so well people say I live in his brain...lol
Back to the ep...Melina was fantastic...even though I'm not sure I totally buy Frankie's night and day transformation. However, I have heard that some of the scariest abusers are just that good...so it stands to reason that he could have been a closet psychopath the whole time...I mean what did we know about him except that he could sculpt and seem to persue Stella like a maniac? (okay so he may have been a maniac then...) The cold way he was setting up for dinner and the way he hit her...dragging her up stairs so her face hits them...holy shit! Her cutting herself to get free wigged me out...I actually almost changed the channel it was that affective. I'm a little 'eh' about the idiocy that Frankie had about not turning off the safety...but heck he was so cocky at that moment I can let it slide. It gave a thorough reason for her to shoot him because it was obvious he planned to kill her. Creepy. Her leaving at the end was great...I hope she took Mac up on his offer of getting her a hotel. That last shot of the blood spatter on that sculpture was just creepy...I loved it. Very artistic it worked for me.
The B case was a B case...the groupie killed the driver cause she didn't get a pass. Unfortunately there are creeps like that...and groupies dumb enough to do that...I've met some...totally sick. Again I liked it only for the DL interaction which is subtly working for me. If this is their subtle way of telling us that the two of them are closer than we know then I like it. We aren't been saturated with the soap opera aspect of it. They are acting normally at work which makes sense to me...much better than 'As the Lab Turns'. Speaking of acting normally at work, is it right that Danny is so composed with his brother either dead or still in a coma? Does he take meds to be that put together? And next week Stella is back at work...so uh...what Mac made it all go away? Or there is a time jump that we don't know about?

I almost feel bad putting a post up about 'Run Silent Run Deep' cause Elainhe can't watch it yet (I'll see if I can't hook you up with at least some clips hun...or a transcript of some kind, it's that worth it.) And Holly has to wait for Jim, whom she loves more than life itself apparently. LoL You guys are troupers.
Okay so I made sure that absolutely nobody was bugging me for that hour. It was kinda funny I had the whole house on high alert that speaking to me or speaking in general around the TV was forbidden for that hour. No exceptions...no grace...shut up. LOL They listened, which was really nice of the people who own the house and the TV... :P PS- in case any of you do NOT want spoilers stop reading now...no seriously hit the close button on your window and leave this...you can't do it can you? Don't say I didn't warn ya. ;)
You know if I wasn't a spoiler reader I would have been greatly surprised by how they re-introduced the 'Tanglewood' theme. I mean it was pretty criptic until Hammerback uncovered the Tanglewood tattoo on the guy who called in the body to Mac and then killed himself. The interesting thing that struck me right at the beginning was the fact that they played off Sonny mentioning Danny's name last year as nothing. Mac knows there's a connection but appears to not have followed up on it and just tells Danny to stay away from the case. I was pleasantly surprised...it seems that both characters have matured for the better. Danny didn't freak out and Mac didn't right away get acusitory. (PS- Danny's comment about buy his underwear in a three pack for ten bucks at the beginning there KILLED ME...lol)
Okay we all know I'm a DL shipper...if you don't then you haven't been paying attention at all. Krista sorta let me have that part of our brain hence the reason she doesn't ship at all. lol Shipping aside though I found it interesting how Lindsay played in this episode. She's the one who found Danny's DNA on that cigarette butt and called to tell him first which isn't necessarily something a keener would do...although she obviously has an affection for him so it makes sense and probably put her higher in his regard books. :) Then she's the one he looks at when he's being stripped (don't get dirty now folks, focus here ;) of his badge and gun which I found interesting. She's also the one who comes in to collect the evidence off Louie at the hospital and sounds quite genuinely concerned about him. I liked the fact that though they had her involved it was subtle and not over the top...she was very obviously not being the primary relationship focus, which was good.
The Mac/Danny dynamic...bloody brilliant! Honestly it really was. I loved the fact that there was DRAMA without the melodrama. They didn't drag out this petty distrust issue that they had last year. Danny didn't freak out when Mac said he was a murder suspect and I loved how he stepped up to the plate when Mac said it was on record and he said 'I don't need a boss right now I need a friend'...that was great. And Mac became that friend for him which just, yeah don't get me started...the explanation as to how his cigarette butt got into the grave was interesting and I sorta suspected that Louie was a Tanglewood boy, what I didn't expect was a flashback to fifteen years previous where Carmine looked hilarious...I got why they did it...but damn I couldn't stop laughing...the hat, the whole outfit...the fact that Louie called him a geek. It showed him as so awkward and made me believe the scientist part of him more. Since right now he looks like a player who got a good job...so I did like the flashback...but man funny!
I liked how Danny told the whole story to Mac, looking him right in the eye not wavering for a second. And the dramatic pause before Mac said 'I believe you' just cut into me...I was almost screaming at the screen 'Don't you dare say he's the killer Mac, don't you dare!!' Then the fervancy that Mac investigates was beautiful. He tackled that case with an obvious passion, he wanted to get one of his own in the clear and you could see that was his primary goal. The fact that Louie is really the one who did it at the end was a twist I didn't expect and throroughly enjoyed. The fact that Danny's older brother wanted to be sure he got his brother in the clear and risked his life to do it! I don't blame Danny for that speech to Louie at the end there. Even if I'm pissed at Carmine for making me cry. Wow, I mean honestly that man is friggin' talented, hot yes, but FRIGGIN' talented!! When he choked up at the end of his speech saying he loved his brother and then had to leave to get some air...it played right into how I expect him to be. He's emotional but doesn't embrace emotion without a fight. It wasn't until Mac actually said that it was Louie who put Danny in the clear that Danny broke down. And seriously if the tears weren't flowing before that they sure were when he started saying how bad Louie was beat. You could tell it was just slamming into him that his brother and done that for him. And after all the years of thinking his brother hated him that was probably an insane blow. (As a sidenote I find it interesting that Mac said Lindsay told him that Danny had heard the tape...what did she run over to the hospital with it? How involved is she? It just seemed an intersting addition...I liked the subtly...still a shipper I'm sorry. ;)
This is turning into a damn book so I'll shut up now. Oooh can't wait for next week with the whole Stella thing...looks like her man is posting their sex exploits on the net. And I do believe this is the first time we've every seen a CSI rolling around in bed with someone...and boy were they rolling...like really didn't they get dizzy?? And of course she was wearing a shirt that had to show her gills...the girls need to breathe after all.

I almost feel bad putting a post up about 'Run Silent Run Deep' cause Elainhe can't watch it yet (I'll see if I can't hook you up with at least some clips hun...or a transcript of some kind, it's that worth it.) And Holly has to wait for Jim, whom she loves more than life itself apparently. LoL You guys are troupers.
Okay so I made sure that absolutely nobody was bugging me for that hour. It was kinda funny I had the whole house on high alert that speaking to me or speaking in general around the TV was forbidden for that hour. No exceptions...no grace...shut up. LOL They listened, which was really nice of the people who own the house and the TV... :P PS- in case any of you do NOT want spoilers stop reading now...no seriously hit the close button on your window and leave this...you can't do it can you? Don't say I didn't warn ya. ;)
You know if I wasn't a spoiler reader I would have been greatly surprised by how they re-introduced the 'Tanglewood' theme. I mean it was pretty criptic until Hammerback uncovered the Tanglewood tattoo on the guy who called in the body to Mac and then killed himself. The interesting thing that struck me right at the beginning was the fact that they played off Sonny mentioning Danny's name last year as nothing. Mac knows there's a connection but appears to not have followed up on it and just tells Danny to stay away from the case. I was pleasantly surprised...it seems that both characters have matured for the better. Danny didn't freak out and Mac didn't right away get acusitory. (PS- Danny's comment about buy his underwear in a three pack for ten bucks at the beginning there KILLED ME...lol)
Okay we all know I'm a DL shipper...if you don't then you haven't been paying attention at all. Krista sorta let me have that part of our brain hence the reason she doesn't ship at all. lol Shipping aside though I found it interesting how Lindsay played in this episode. She's the one who found Danny's DNA on that cigarette butt and called to tell him first which isn't necessarily something a keener would do...although she obviously has an affection for him so it makes sense and probably put her higher in his regard books. :) Then she's the one he looks at when he's being stripped (don't get dirty now folks, focus here ;) of his badge and gun which I found interesting. She's also the one who comes in to collect the evidence off Louie at the hospital and sounds quite genuinely concerned about him. I liked the fact that though they had her involved it was subtle and not over the top...she was very obviously not being the primary relationship focus, which was good.
The Mac/Danny dynamic...bloody brilliant! Honestly it really was. I loved the fact that there was DRAMA without the melodrama. They didn't drag out this petty distrust issue that they had last year. Danny didn't freak out when Mac said he was a murder suspect and I loved how he stepped up to the plate when Mac said it was on record and he said 'I don't need a boss right now I need a friend'...that was great. And Mac became that friend for him which just, yeah don't get me started...the explanation as to how his cigarette butt got into the grave was interesting and I sorta suspected that Louie was a Tanglewood boy, what I didn't expect was a flashback to fifteen years previous where Carmine looked hilarious...I got why they did it...but damn I couldn't stop laughing...the hat, the whole outfit...the fact that Louie called him a geek. It showed him as so awkward and made me believe the scientist part of him more. Since right now he looks like a player who got a good job...so I did like the flashback...but man funny!

Ok...I'm making my first official contribution. :D I want to thank Krista and Dream for letting me be a contributor and for creating this site...Okay, here we go...lol.
This is just my list of things that I would hope that would be resolved by the end of this season...my biggest hope is that none of the CSIs leave it with a cliffhanger.
CSI:New York
1. I would like to see what the Tanglewood boys and Danny know about each other. I know that this is going to be tackled in Run Silent, Run Deep and I am so totally psyched about that.
2. I would like some more background on Lindsay. She's this totally blank slate and they really haven't done anything with her. I mean we've found out that she's a capable CSI and can hold her own regardless of what's thrown at her, but really what do we know about her?
3. What is up with Stella? Did someone film her and Frankie being intimate? I've heard rumors of him meeting an untimely demise. If it's true, it'll be interesting to see the storyline coinside with Danny and the possible death of his brother.
On a side note, I have to agree with what Krista said in an earlier post. While she's not a Danny/Lindsay shipper, I am; but I do not like it that they seemed to have forced the contact issue. There were a couple of instances where their contact seemed forced and just thrown in. I'm glad that in the last episode or two there were good reasons or atleast understandable reasons for them to be having the conversations that they were having.
CSI: Miami
1. Who is the mole? I've had several theories and slowly I've been disecting them. I'm leaning strongly towards Valera for the simple reason that she got in trouble and then was suddenly allowed back in the lab. Did she make a deal with the ADA to keep her job? I was leaning towards the snake for a long time, but after the scene with her and Delko with the case about the abused woman, I find it hard to believe that they would make it that obvious.
2. Marisol. I have never known someone to be as supposedly sick with cancer to look as good as she does. Not that I'm trying to bring her character down, but a little realism would be nice for a woman in her supposed condition. But my main resolution would be I want to know what's going to happen to her -- the rumors are that she meets an untimely end but it has nothing to do with the cancer. And she gets married to Horatio! Hello - how come no one on these shows can find love...
3. Delko. Please oh please get him away from the snake. 'Nough said -- but don't you dare kill him off. I don't think the show could handle the loss of Speed and then Delko.
CSI: Las Vegas
1. What is going on with Warrick and his wife? I mean first you hear that everything's hunky dory, then you see him have a discussion with his wife about schedules and in the last episode they are still having issues.
2. Doesn't Nick have any after issues after being buried alive? I mean he had that Cassie episode, the episode where the bomber's daughter killed herself, and where he hesitated about going underground for the cult episode -- but other than that I haven't noticed any after effects of being buried alive.
3. The last four episodes seem like they are going rock. Can't wait to see them. I love the hint that cbs.com has on the website - but for the life of me I can't figure out what the clues are.

I just watched the 'Run Silent, Run Deep' Promo. I'm freaking out. There's no way this episode is not gonna have me in tears.

So, I'm gonna start off this amazing, one of a kind blogging experience with my personal favorite of the CSI trio: NY. Why is it my personal favorite? I guess I feel invested in the characters somehow. I have the most to say about this series, at any rate.
Here goes:
I've decided I like it when Gary Sinise produces NY episodes. The bone I've been picking all season is that the story lines have seemed so...shallow of late. Weird deaths with nothing to make me empathize with victim or killer. The crimes have seemed so impersonal and irrelavent.
The past two episodes have made up for that, in my humble opinion, and the only thing that seems to have been different is that Mr. Sinise has produced both eps. So, kudos to him. Perhaps I will keep a running tab of kudos and see who comes out on top... :P
My other beef has been that I've felt somewhat patronized to of late. Maybe it's because I know what's going on in the fangirl world re: Danny and Lindsey's characters that I've reacted so strongly, but here's my thing:
Not that I don't want to see Danny get some action. Let's not put the cart in front of the horse here, I'm as attracted to the guy as the next girl. However, my attraction isn't so much about what's under the clothes as it is what's under the thinly veiled venir of the character of Danny Messer. He's intense. He's needy. He's reactive. He's got a definite 'bad boy'edness about him. He makes me want to be the one to fix him. It's good stuff.
Mr. Giovinazzo is a pro at playing Danny's character, let's be honest. He's so wicked good at the non-verbal communication it can be painful. Take 'On the Job' for instance: Never have I wanted to mother a complete stranger so bad in my life. All from a look. Terrible.
Maybe this is why I haven't completely warmed up to Lindsey yet. She just doesn't have that same force of character that Danny does. Aiden had it, Lindsey...not so much. I'm gonna need backstory or an honestly vulnerable moment or something.
Dream tells me the promo for 'Run Silent, Run Deep' shows Danny crying while hugging Mac. Come on now. How wicked awesome is that?? I. Love. Character development! I've already decided that this episode is destined to be my favorite. I can't wait!!!

But we're writers. We need an outlet for our thoughts. We had one...it was attached to an e-mail address, but, alas and alack, that brief stint of fun seems to have run its course.
